Hnanice village, hidden in the scenic region of South Moravia, lies in the Znojmo wine region, just 10 km south of the historic town of Znojmo, almost on the state border with Austria. The first written mention of Hnanice dates back to 1201 and documents the local tradition of grape growing. The village is surrounded by the unspoilt landscape of the Podyjí National Park and extensive vineyards, which together create an unforgettable atmosphere. Thanks to its surroundings and quality wine, Hnanice is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination.

In the heart of the village there is a unique cellar alley, which is one of the most picturesque in the whole of Znojmo region. Hnanice is also an ideal starting point for a visit to the most beautiful vineyard in the Czech Republic - Šobes, located in a forest massif on an elevation above the river Dyje.

The growth of tourism has brought new services to Hnanice, including the Vinice Hnanice Hotel, guesthouses and a brewery, as well as a number of hiking and cycling trails in the Podyjí National Park. The area is famous not only for its natural treasures, but also for its historical monuments, including the Vranov nad Dyjí State Castle, the New Hrádek State Castle, Hardegg Castle in Austria or the town of Znojmo itself, where you can admire the national cultural monument - the 11th-century Rotunda of St. Catherine, Znojmo Castle or the 14th-century Znojmo Underground, an important landmark in Central Europe, which contains 24 km of underground passages.

Hnanice is accessible by train or bus to Znojmo, from where car transfers can be arranged. The nearest airports are in Vienna and Bratislava, from where there are regular bus or train connections to Brno or Breclav.
